Everyday Sexism Project

Everyday Sexism Project, is a sub-project under Umeed aims to shed light on the pervasive nature of sexism in various spheres of life, exploring personal narratives, expert insights, and reflections. Through this series, we aim to foster open conversations, challenge stereotypes, and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society. For this particular project, we want to take an inward view and focus on the voices within the O.P. Jindal Global University space. We wish to have conversations with students, faculty members and other staff members. In essence, we wish this Project emerges as a powerful way to foster dialogue, share experiences, and explore ideas in and around gender and sexuality.towards discriminations and risen to successful and positive impact.

The launch of the ‘Everyday Sexism Project’ is on 8th of March 2024 coinciding with the International Women’s Day 2024 celebrations. We wished to launch it on a day that celebrates gender and encourages conversation around it, but this does not in any way limit our conversations to women’s or cisgender experiences, but aides to drive the conversations forward. We hope to have simple, honest everyday discussions on how the Jindal Community perceives gender and sexism.
